IN Academic Jr. Super Bowl |
Composed of English, Social Studies, Science, Math, and Interdisciplinary teams, Academic Jr. Super Bowl gives students in grades 6-8 the opportunity to study and extend knowledge within a subject beyond the classroom, guided by an annual theme. Subject teams consist of up to five students; interdisciplinary team may have up to seven students. The season culminates with a single competition among other schools. |

Jazz Band is open to advanced band students in grades 5-8. Students will gain experience playing a variety of musical styles (swing, blues, Latin, etc.) with an additional focus on improvisation. Meets 8-8:40am on Tues & Thurs beginning after fall break. |

National Jr. Art Honor Society |
The NJAHS is designed specifically for students grades 6-8. Students must apply for membership and be accepted into the NJAHS program based on grades, leadership and citizenship. The mission of the NJAHS is to further creative abilities and talents of members, to increase an awareness of art in relation to other areas of school curriculum, and to bring attention to art in the school and community. |

NJHS is for 7-8th grade students with a 3.5 GPA or higher who apply for membership. NJHS members will maintain a high standard for academic excellence while participating in various leadership building and community service oriented activities. |

Science Club |
Science Club will offer students an opportunity to explore a variety of scientific fields. Students will have the opportunity to investigate scientific fields from Physics and Chemistry to Earth and Space Science to Botany and Zoology and beyond. This club will also allow students to learn about scientific concepts through research and experimentation. Students will gain experience conducting experiments using the Scientific Method, which will hopefully lead them to pursuing a project they might enter into the ZWest Science Fair later this year. |

It is an indoor version of the flags, rifles and dancers that perform with the marching band. It is a team sport in which everyone that joins will participate in every event. Zeek Squad |
Zeek Squad is a student technology leadership program available in all ZCS schools. This year-long program meets every two weeks during homeroom. Students complete tech-based assignments, participate in the ZCS Technology Ambassador Program, and offer help to students and staff regarding technology challenges. Maybe some Minecraft too! |

ZIP Cadet (Zionsville Indoor Percussion Cadet) is the younger sibling to the HS Indoor Percussion group. It is a team sport in which everyone that joins will participate in every event. Ideally, music experience (band, orchestra, piano and choir) is preferred. The group competes throughout the winter in the Indiana Percussion Association circuit. |

ZWest's Got Talent! |
A celebration of the arts! This variety show features student and teacher acts. Come sing, dance, rap, play an instrument, act out a skit, emcee, entertain us with your comedy, or show off any hidden talent. This variety show is open to all students and staff. Auditions and production details to be announced in March. Performances will take place in April. |

What is the Band Leadership Team? Band students in grades 5-8 are welcome to join us.
